| The informative labels are drawn up on the basis of rules and methods laid down in directions covering a particular group of products. In all DVN has 125.
The directions also contain guidelines on what information should be given on the label, the order of such information, and testing procedure.
The directions are drawn up on the basis of current legislation, EU directives, recommendations and regulations, standards, and other published rules and requirements of or requests from the organizations belonging to the Council.
For groups of products whose labelling is not subject to either EU or Danish national legislation, DVN lays down requirements in cooperation with sectoral organizations or other interested parties.
In determining what information should be given on the completed label, considerable attention is paid to the wishes of consumers. However, all directions must be approved by the Board, which ensures that all interests are taken into account.
Before directions are sent to the Board for approval, they will be submitted for comments to a wide range of interested parties ranging from sectoral organizations to companies, public authorities, and laboratories. |
